I would prefer that you send them in a 'zipped' file (I can tell you how to do that if you email me), but it's not necessary.  Send me an email before you send the pictures, so I can get an idea of 'file size' in case they need to be sent in batches.

If you're interested, here's a neat video from the early 1960's at Motor City... I'm not sure who shot this video (maybe grandpa?).  I have a high resolution copy of this video, but it takes too long for high-res video's to load online, so the one here is a low-resolution version.  Appropriately enough, Uncle David is in this video, though it might be hard to see him in this low-res version:
